Decide. Set goals. Believe. These are the tenets of Charlene Friesen’s success.

She began with skepticism, uncertainty, and a lot of research. In the end, 15 years of experience as a natural health consultant, 17 years of network marketing knowledge, and a strong belief in the Vemma products and opportunity convinced her to build a business of her own. Just one short year after beginning her journey with Vemma, Charlene advanced to the Executive level.

As time went on, Charlene’s Why became more evident to her, motivating her to reach for greater success: “My goal is to retire my mom by my birthday this August, and to have her live the life of her dreams!” With her mom by her side, Charlene plans to travel the world as she continues to build a global Vemma business.

Charlene plans her day in 30-minute intervals, devoting up to two hours to personal development with teachers like Bob Proctor, John Maxwell, Steven Covey and Jim Rohn. She fills in with three-way calls, follow-ups, Private Business Receptions and two-on-one meetings. She rarely misses team conference calls or webinars. Her focus is on coaching great leaders. And to coach great leaders, she knows she has to be one herself. “As the saying goes, ‘What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say,’” she says. “The fact is, people will do what you do, not what you say. If you’re not on the recruiting calls and training webinars, you’re not leading by example.”

Charlene believes in continuing to set goals for herself and grow; with the help of her upline success coaches and fellow Canadians, Ian Nicholson and Linda Proctor, she works toward the next rank, always moving forward. All the while, she’s helping her team members set their own goals and reach their dreams. “We celebrate the success of others,” she says. “That’s the ultimate reward — paying it forward and helping others to achieve their next rank!”
